Medieval Empires - Game Overview

Medieval Empires is set in the late 13th century, right at the dawn of the fabled Ottoman Empire. In the game, one of the heroes, Ertuğrul Gazi, will face off against the future King Edward 1st aka Edward Longshanks aka Hammer of the Scots, who is expanding a successful 9th Crusade across Europe to the Holy Land.

In Medieval Empires' dramatisation of history, the 9th Crusade was more fruitful for Edward Longshanks, opening up another front to the north, where the English crusaders find themselves clashing with Turkic Tribes, among them Ertugrul's Kayi Tribe, in the fragmented and order-less Frontier Region of Turkey. Medieval Empires does not aim to be historically correct. Historical figures, events, tribes, and alliances are adjusted to create more exciting gameplay and engaging storylines.
